Mission Statement

NTHSRA believes every child deserves an opportunity. An opportunity to rodeo, an opportunity to graduate, an opportunity to succeed in general.

It is the objective of the association to promote rodeo in a manner that establishes positive attitude changes toward the completion of high school and encourages goals for higher learning.

Our history:

NTHSRA is a 501C3, non profit organization, incorporated in 1972 by a group of Agriculture Education teachers. The goal in 1972, as is our goal today, was to keep teens off the streets and in school by providing an affordable place for rodeo minded teens to compete weekly.

We follow UIL based guidelines regarding grades and participation and have expanded our membership outside the public school system to include home and charter school participants.

NTHSRA prides ourselves in awarding in upwards of $20,000 in scholarships each year and maintaining relationships with Windy Ryon and FWSSR who offer our competitors yearly scholarship opportunities as well.

At NTHSRA we encourage all students, grades 9-12, to give us a try. We have events for everyone including riding and non riding members. We look forward to encouraging your student to finish high school and to achieve all of their academic and rodeo related goals to the best or their ability.
