N.T.H.S.R.A. Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Applications are now available for North Texas High School Rodeo Assoc. Scholarship. These scholarships are funded with the proceeds from the Black & Blue Rodeo.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. You must be a member in good standing with North Texas High School Rodeo Assoc.
  2. You must be a senior in high school.
  3. You must have competed in 12 NTHSRA rodeos your senior year.
  4. You must have competed in NTHSRA at least 2 years.

CANDIDATES ARE JUDGED AS FOLLOWS:

(Not Necessarily in This Order)

  1. Scholastic Aptitude
  2. NTHSRA Participation
  3. Need
  4. Interview
  5. Preparation
  6. Extra-Curricular Activities

An anonymous committee will select scholarship recipients.

EACH APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE FOLLOWING:

  1. A completed application
  2. A personal resume
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals that know the candidate well
  4. A current school transcript

**1-4 must be adhered to. Failure to provide all documentation and submission by deadline will result in the applicant not being considered for a scholarship. Additional information provided will not be given to the judges.

Windy Ryon Scholarship

2020 WINDY RYON MEMORIAL ROPING ASSOCIATION

Scholarship Application Guidelines

In order to apply for a Windy Ryon Scholarship you must:

  1. Volunteer at the Windy Ryon Memorial Roping
  2. Be a Member in Good Standing with NTHSRA
  3. Be a Graduating Senior
  4. Have Competed in NTHSRA for at least 2 years
  5. Have competed in at least 12 rodeos your Senior Year by scholarship application deadline
  6. Have Taken your SAT and or ACT (Except those Exempt for Educational Programs)
  7. Have Applied to a College, University, or Trade School

To Apply for the Windy Ryon Scholarship you must submit:

1.Completed Application

2.Two Letters of Recommendation (EX: Business Owners, City Officials, School Faculty on Letterhead.)

3.Completed High School Transcript- SAT/ACT Scores

If you are awarded a Scholarship and Accept you MUST:

  1. Give at Least 30 days’ notice before receiving any funds.
  2. Attend the Fall Semester or Submit a Letter before January 31, 2022 with your intent, or forfeit scholarship.
  3. Use the scholarship within 6 months of August 1, 2021.

This application and ALL Required Information should be returned in a sealed envelope, to the NTHSRA Office by April 10th, no later than 5p.m. You will be notified if you are to be called back for an interview.

TYBR MARTHA BENNET ROUGHSTOCK SCHOLARSHIPN

Scholarship Application Guidelines

SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE PAID IN ONE PAYMENT $500 FOR THE 1ST SEMESTER TAKEN AND MUST BE USED BY JANUARY 31 , 2022 OR A LETTER OF INTENT MUST BE SENT TO THE NTHSRA OFFICE BY THIS DATE, AND EVERY 6 MONTHS THEREAFTER.

To Apply for the Martha Bennet Scholarship you must submit:

  1. Completed Application
  2. Write a short essay on what your goals in life are and how this scholarship will benefit you:
